How payments are protected
Tipping should feel as safe as it is quick. Here’s exactly where your money and card details go — and what TipiT can and can’t see.
Your card details never touch TipiT
When you tip, your card or wallet talks directly to Stripe, our payment processor. The card number is entered inside Stripe’s own secure fields — it never reaches this page, this app, or TipiT’s servers. In payments terms, TipiT stays in the lightest PCI scope (SAQ-A).
Saved cards and wallets
If you choose to save your card for next time, Stripe stores it securely and gives TipiT only a token — never the number. Wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay share no card number with anyone; the payment is authorized on your device.
Anonymous on both sides
You see the receiver’s persona — an avatar, a phrase, and today’s proof code — never their legal name. They never see yours. The proof code changes daily, so the acknowledgment screen you show can’t be faked from an old screenshot.
Where the money goes
Your tip settles to the receiver’s own connected Stripe account and pays out to their bank on their schedule. TipiT only ever handles the small platform fee, shown to you in the breakdown before you pay.
